Tech Matters is hiring an Executive Assistant (remote working): Apply Now!!

Tech Matters is a nonprofit organization that leverages the power of tech to support social sector innovators and advance large-scale positive social change. As tech nerds for the social sector, we create common ground for systems change solutions, empowering progress on humanity’s most pressing social issues. Right now, our biggest social enterprises are Aselo, focusing on assisting crisis response helplines to better serve people in need (especially children), and Terraso, helping local leaders and smallholder farmers around the globe get the tools, knowledge, and funding they need to build the more regenerative local economies of the next two decades.

We’re on the hunt for a part-time (10 hours/week), truly extraordinary Executive Assistant, one who thrives on the exhilarating challenge of meticulously tending to the CEO’s day-to-day demands. This isn’t just about calendar management; it’s about having an intuitive grasp of priorities, foreseeing potential roadblocks, and always staying one step ahead. We want to hear from you if you’re ready to be the driving force behind a visionary leader and the linchpin of our operational brilliance.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • CEO Time Optimization: Ensure the CEO’s time is maximized effectively, recommending and making adjustments to daily schedules based on shifting priorities.
  • Task Management: Ensure that the CEO’s tasks and projects are always aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives. Track and ensure that follow-up action items are completed.
  • Communication Triage: Prioritize and assist in response to emails, calls, and requests addressed to the CEO, determining which require immediate attention and which can be deferred or delegated.
  • Calendar Management: Organize and schedule meetings, appointments, and events for the CEO, ensuring scheduling conflicts don’t occur.
  • Document Preparation: Create, edit, and proofread business documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Meeting Coordination: Coordinate and oversee logistics for board meetings, company-wide events, and other initiatives. Organize necessary materials for meetings, take minutes, and ensure follow-ups are addressed. Prepare the CEO as needed, ensuring they are well-informed and equipped to handle all discussions.
  • Feedback Loop: Act as a sounding board for the CEO, providing feedback on various matters from an operational perspective.
  • Team Liaison: Serve as a bridge between the CEO and the executive team, facilitating clear communication and ensuring organizational alignment.
  • Special Projects: Assist with or lead on special projects.
