We are currently seeking a Regional Higher Education Insights Manager for Sub Saharan Africa (SSA) to join our dynamic team. Role Overview:
 As the Regional Higher Education Insights Manager for SSA, you will play a key role in developing and delivering Higher Education Insights Hubs in the region. Your responsibilities will include leading the production and editorial management of research projects in education, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, and ensuring the relevance and quality of our research output. Additionally, you will build and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders in the higher education sector, contributing to the British Council’s mission of promoting international collaboration and understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commissioning and production of high-quality research reports within tight deadlines.
- Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data using industry-standard tools and technology.
- Set and maintain global quality standards for research output.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients and partners in the higher education sector.
- Contribute to the development of strategic responses to partner and client needs, aligning with regional and corporate priorities.
- Promote and position the UK education sector in the region, demonstrating thought leadership and expertise.
- Lead on business and partnership development strategy for the portfolio, identifying new opportunities for collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards and policies, including those related to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, social sciences, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver results efficiently.
- Extensive knowledge of UK and international higher education policy and practices.
- Proven ability to build effective networks and partnerships across organizations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in digital platforms for remote collaboration and events.
