World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is partnering with IHE Delft to jointly support up to two scholarships a year from the Global South to study the MSc programme in Water and Sustainable Development and the Research MSc in Water and Sustainable Development.
Academic merit
Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and a keen interest in water and sustainable development. Applications to the MSc programme are due 1 March 2024. Once academically admitted to the MSc programme, applicants have until 1 April 2024 to complete a WMO Fellowship Nomination Form (accessible through the link above) and submit it to the Permanent Representative (PR) of their country affiliated with WMO. To be considered for the scholarship, you must first apply for and be admitted to the Master’s programme. The information on the page linked to below will help you prepare a strong application to the MSc in Water and Sustainable Development.

WMO Fellowships Programme
The aim of the WMO Fellowships Programme is to support the education and training of qualified and suitable candidates, particularly from least developed and developing countries and Small Island Developing States. WMO may award both short-term (more than one month and less than six months) and long-term (6 months or longer) fellowships, based on recommendations of the Education and Training Committee (ETCOM) and in alignment with the priorities of the Education and Training Programme.
