About Akili Dada
Akili Dada is an award-winning leadership incubator anchored on the belief that girls and young women CAN and DO LEAD. Our mission is to nurture transformational feminist leadership in girls and young women from underserved backgrounds to meet the urgent need for more African women in leadership. We journey alongside adolescent girls and young women, supporting them in creating and implementing solutions to their communities’ challenges. We build their capacity to lead, applying a holistic approach that encompasses financial investment, intergenerational mentorship, movement-building, and advocacy through education and leadership.
About the Assignment
Akili Dada is celebrating its 18th anniversary, serving African girls and young women. As we look forward to the future, we recognize the need to review and refresh our programmatic approach to continue nurturing the next generation of African women leaders. To achieve this, we seek a qualified program design expert to join our team and lead this transformative exercise. The outcomes of this program review and refresh will be significant.
We aim to identify areas of innovation within our current portfolio of programs and either validate or challenge our existing approach to ensure it remains responsive to the needs of African girls and young women.
We will critically evaluate our programs, propose areas of improvement, and design sustainable and impactful programs that are worthy of investment. This exercise is a unique opportunity to align our programs with our 2024-2028 strategic vision, ensuring we continue to meet the evolved needs of African girls and young women.
