Unlocking Solutions: The Pandemic Fund Announces Second Call for Proposals
The Pandemic Fund has officially opened its second Call for Proposals (CfP), aiming to mobilize innovative projects and initiatives that strengthen global health resilience.
This funding initiative, totaling US$ 500 million, seeks to support projects in Eligible Countries, Regional Entities, and Implementing Entities focused on critical areas of pandemic preparedness.

Application Timeline:Late February 2024: Application portal opens, along with technical evaluation criteria and scoring methodology details.May 17, 2024: Deadline to submit proposals through the Pandemic Fund’s application portal.June – August 2024:
Technical Advisory Panel reviews eligible proposals.September – October 2024: Governing Board reviews eligible proposals, with the announcement of selected proposals to be funded.
Priority Areas of Funding:
The Pandemic Fund will prioritize high-impact investments in three key areas:
- Early warning and disease surveillance systems
- Laboratory systems (human and animal)
- Strengthening human resources/public health and community workforce capacity
Types of Proposals Accepted:
Single-country proposal, Multi-country proposal and Regional Entity proposal

Information sessions will be organized following the release of the application portal, providing insights into requirements and answering queries. Sign-up details will be posted on the official Pandemic Fund website.
How to Submit Your Proposal:
The Funding Proposal Template should be completed on the Pandemic Fund’s application portal, which will go live in late February.
