The ORIGIN Programme: Where Your Career Begins

Dedicated to Early Career Professionals

Are you a recent graduate or an early career professional looking for a unique opportunity? The ORIGIN Programme is designed for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • General secondary education diploma with no more than two years of post-graduation professional experience (for technical and support services applications)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with no more than two years of post-graduation professional experience (for university graduates)

What We Offer

Join CERN, located in Geneva, Switzerland, where you’ll experience extremes – from temperatures hotter than the center of the sun to the cold vacuum of space, all at the same time. Here’s what you can expect:

  • A minimum monthly stipend of around 4500 Swiss Francs (net of tax)
  • Comprehensive health coverage for yourself, spouse, and children, along with membership in the CERN Pension Fund
  • Additional benefits such as installation grants, family allowances, child and infant allowances, and travel expenses
  • 30 days of paid leave per year
  • On-the-job and formal training
  • Employment contracts ranging from 6 to 24 months, with the possibility of extension up to 36 months
