World Relief seeks an International Programs Communications Partner to serve as a communications strategist and marketing liaison for International Programs. He/she will lead efforts to build World Relief’s technical brand and reputation as a global leader in the INGO industry through the creation and implementation of a strategic engagement and communications plan, PR strategy, conference and event preparation, and branded content creation.
Role & Responsibilities

- Works closely with technical advisors, program advisors, and country teams to clearly understand and map out the communications systems of International Programs.
- Develop a strategic communications and engagement plan for International Programs, including a landscape assessment of target audience brand perception, surveying of key messaging points from peer organizations, and identification of key communication channels and opportunities for external engagement at global, regional, and national levels.
- Manage a calendar for major public donor engagement opportunities and proposals that can be supported by technical branding pushes
- Works closely with Marketing to help standardize marketing and brand practices across International Programs.
- Trains and equips of International Programs Home Office staff in communication tools and opportunities.
- Works closely with technical advisors, program officers and country teams to advise and assist with technical briefs, one pagers, and case studies that target our peer INGOs and public donors
- Keeps web team updated with written technical content needed for foundations, public and private grants (regular project updates, learnings, technical briefs, reports, evaluations, case studies, etc. )
- Advises and assists International Programs with marketing needs related to annual reports, publication materials, government briefings, curriculum, toolkits, and presentations.
- Builds up lines of communication and shared resources between Marketing and International Programs/Offices.
- Represents International Programs in messaging and content planning – (i.e. more regular social media content that highlights IP happenings—award announcements, case studies, stories and blog posts.)
- Works closely with Advocacy and external PR firm to determine opportunities for International Advocacy pushes and resource them with supporting content.
- Executes and advises on Core Humanitarian Standards requirements for the Marketing team.
- Acts as communications lead for Integral Alliance.
- Meets regularly with IP home office and country office teams, reporting back to the Marketing team on content needs and opportunities.
- Collaborates with Knowledge Management to build catalog of IP technical content, including whitepapers, conference presentations, proposals, etc
- Works closely with Marketing Operations Manager and Knowledge Management specialists to plan system and process improvements as it relates to multimedia content collection and sharing (i.e. an internal process for capturing, storing, and sharing stories)

Requirements
- Mature and personal Christian faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- B.A. and 3+ years experience in communications, or marketing preferred. International studies experience will also be strongly considered.
- Strong technical writer, strong copy-editing skills
- Ability to translate complex language into simple and compelling messaging
- Prior experience with communications targeting public and peer organizations
- Prior experience leading interdepartmental teams and stakeholder management
- Strong project management skills
- Strong cross-cultural communication and relational skills
- Visual branding and/or design skills a plus
- Basic knowledge of Canva or related design software a plus
$55,000 – $65,000 a year
