logos is looking to hire a full-time Senior Communications Consultant to join its fast-growing team in Brussels, Belgium, in the heart of the EU bubble.

Responsibilities

ou will design and implement communication strategies for our sustainability clients (including social media plans and video scripting). This includes:

  • Drafting a compelling communication strategy and coordinating activities according to workplan
  • Identifying key stakeholders and influencers, as well as compiling a solid media database
  • Engaging with journalists and pitching articles and editorials
  • Strategically identifying opportunities to produce relevant and engaging content
  • Creating strong visuals to be used in internal and external communications
  • Coordinating a key working group of communications representatives for a large industry alliance
  • Overseeing the planning and execution of association events, conferences, and meetings (logistics, speaker coordination, materials, promotion)
  • Guiding and mentoring junior staff
  • Representing logos communications at client strategy meetings
  • Supporting other activities assigned to the communications team (e.g. copy-writing, preparation of presentations, etc.)

Candidate Requirements

  • You are eligible to work in the EU
  • You have a master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or International Relations
  • You have a passion for communication, are creative and understand the ins and outs of digital influence
  • You have 3 years experience in communication and have drafted communication and social media plans before
  • You have an interest in EU sustainability policy and related media coverage
  • You have experience in organising client policy events in Brussels
  • You have an excellent command of social media publishing and analytics tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Twitter Analytics and Google Analytics) to produce regular reports
  • You have communications experience in corporate, industry association and/or public institutions with multiple stakeholders
  • You have keen interest in design and a basic knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Illustrator
  • You are well-organised, pay attention to detail and consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English is mandatory (native speaker or equivalent); knowledge of other European languages is a big plus.
  • A team player with excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to motivate and coach more junior staff
  • Available to integrate quickly into a dynamic team
