About Karsh International Scholarship Program
In honor of the exceptional contributions international scholars make to Duke University, the Karsh International Scholarship was founded in 2010 thanks to a generous donation from Martha L. and Bruce A. Karsh. Karsh International Scholars comprise an intellectually and civically engaged cohort of international students who promote interdisciplinary inquiry, academic research, and scholarship in the service of society. International applicants must have demonstrated financial need to be eligible for this scholarship. Our current cohort of scholars includes students from Brazil, Chile, England, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Iran, Italy, Kenya, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Rwanda, South Korea, Tunisia, Vietnam, Wales, and Zimbabwe.

Level and Areas of Study
The award is offered towards a bachelor’s degree programme in all eligible taught courses.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates for the Karsh International Scholarship at Duke University are required to meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be foreign students
- US Citizens or dual citizens of US/another country are not eligible
- Candidates must not have already obtained a B.A. or B.S. degree prior to their studies at Duke University
- Applicants must have strong academic preparation and documented need for financial aid

Submission Deadline: Early applications deadline is 1 November 2023 while Regular Decisions application is 2 January.2024
